Hai Thien Restaurant@Kuala Perlis

It's my second visit again to Hai Thien after one year.
It is a halal restaurant.
No special occasion, the five of us just suka-suka go there eat.
I'm craving for the salad you tiao.
Sorry for the poor quality pics as we are already hungry at that time.
Ya, most of the time I rely on my phone to take all those pictures.
My photo taking skill not bad huh ?
Salad you tiao sprinkled with sesame seed.
This is medium portion where can be shared among 5persons.

Suan Mei Chicken. Sorry lah, I don't know how to taip in Chinese words.
So just use pin yin.
This is average only as I found it a bit too bland ?

Forgotten what is this.

Fried Sotong. Fresh and succulent texture.
All of us love sotonggg.

Tom Yam Seafood Soup again.
Personally, I love Kampung Siam's tom yam moreeee.
The bill came in RM100++
Okay a bit too expensive compared to Kampung Siam.
Overall is good and service is fast although it is full house that day.

Kampung Siam@Jitra

An unplanned makan venture to Thai restaurant Kampung Siam Jitra on Wednesday after me and group members found out that our group presentation is cancelled. Decided to try our luck to come here as it is closed on Wednesday according to my friends. Haha. And we are lucky enough because the restaurant is operating on that day ! We asked the lady boss to introduced us some dishes. And here you go, the food pics :)
Appetizer eh ? Chicken satay :)

Kailan with salted fish. Okay so this is normal dish where u can get almost in every restaurant

Ayam Serai. Love this and it have cashew nut under it.

Assam Sotong. Do not look like assam huh ? Sotong is fresh and the taste is nice.

Tom Yam Seafood Soup. Spicy and sour with assorted seafood. I like it !
All of us end up ordering more rice because it was too gooooood.
Every dish is superb with affordable prices.

Patiserrie Boutique Ipoh

More and more cafe sprang up especially in the Oldtown Ipoh area. Mostly are of the same concept like Burps & Giggles and Roquette Cafe where the menu is written on a board and you order the food at counter. Went to try out Patiserrie Boutique during the Awal Muharram public holiday(5th November). As expected, full house on that day.

In case you are not sure where it is located, yes, it is just beside Roquette Cafe, behind Plan B and a few shops away from Burps & Giggles. Their signboard is not so visible compared to Roquette Cafe.

Love the concept where it stresses on the French concept. Vast selection of food to choose from ranging from salad, sandwiches, waffle, pasta, cakes, coffee, tea and etc. Wanted to order pasta and waffle but sadly it is not available yet because since the cafe is still in soft launch so they are still trying to adjust the the flavour in order to get the right taste.

Complimentary water for every table. Trying out the bottled juice.

Strawberry Shortcake. Big chunk of strawberries in between the cake. The baker is generous.

Chocolate Cheese Cake. Me, my sis and mom love this ! Base is crushed oreo if I'm not mistaken and on top is thick layer of chocolate ganache. Double like. Haha. Will you say No to this cake ? I could not resist the temptation when it comes to chocolate :)

Smoked salmon and omelette sandwich. Again so generous as you can see the amount of greens on the plate and sprinkle with few assortments of nuts. Overall is delicious.

Spot the Eiffel Tower on the wall. Would love to visit this cafe again to try out other selection. Happy because no tax and service charge is applied.

Sushi Zanmai@Gurney Paragon

Not much introduction is needed as most of you have heard about Sushi Zanmai.
Went to Sushi Zanmai for lunch on 1st November as we do window shopping at Gurney Paragon.

Unlimited refill of green tea available in hot or cold.

Me and another friend ordered this. Asari Nabe. I chosen this because it looks so tempting from the menu. You can choose either to pair it with rice or udon. But I regretted once the food arrived. The soup got no taste at all and at that point I feel like wanna ask the server to change it ! But in the end I did not because I'm considerate cos the restaurant is full house on that day. Even my other two friends also claimed that it is so bland.

Close-up of the Asari Nabe. A huge dissapointment. What caught my eyes is only the lala. Others is all vegetables wey I tell you.

Seafood Treasure Pot. And this one is soooooo salty ! I wonder is it the chef forget to put salt in my Asari Nabe set and put salt twice in this pot !

Anyway, this Hokkaido Roll is so so so yummyyyy. Top with avocado slice and braised scallop. The sauce makes me wanna lick off the plate.

Signing off with a pic of part of Gurney Paragon.

Do expect long queues during lunch hour. Reservation is allowed.
