Gaharu Tea valley @ Gopeng, Perak

What do you think about Gopeng ?
For me, I thought that Gopeng was a small little town and not much entertainment there.
Me and family visited this Gaharu Tea Valley during CNY 2014.
Yes and the place packed with many people.
Admission is free.

You can purchase the ticket.
They will have vans to pick you up to higher platform of gaharu plantation.
The fee is RM10 person.
We are excited much.
The panorama view from up of the gaharu plantation.
Yes and all the trees in the photo are all gaharu tea trees.

Another photo of the gaharu trees.

There is a counter for you to purchase food and beverage.

Some of the food items on sale.
All are made using gaharu.
We bought a gaharu flavoured ice-cream, gui ling gao and the osmanthus jelly.
All are equally good with a hint of gaharu smell.

Gaharu tea sachet are on sale too.
Improving sleep quality and lower blood pressure are among the health benefits of the tea.

Other products are such as Gaharu cookies, nougats, noodles and etc.

The passion fruit plantation occupied a small area near the parking space.

It was rather sunny on that day !
Gaharu tree for sale.
It is believed that this tree is auspicious and will bring you luck.

Replica of Great Wall of China.
A mini version !
A great place if you would like to escape from the city's hustle and bustle life.

Kopi 'O' Ais Mural @ Ipoh

Finally Ipoh has its own mural painted by Ernest Zacharevic !
It is the Kopi 'O' Ais Mural at iconic Ipoh oldtown.
Located at the opposite of Kong Heng Restaurant and beside Harold's Bread.

Does it look like the real kopi 'o' ais tapau ?

Bits and Bobs @ Oldtown Ipoh

Kinda miss your childhood life ?
Re-live your childhood memories at Bits and Bobs !
Located near Plan B and Missing Marbles in Ipoh.

Seems quite popular among the adults too.
Who doesn't love an ice ball on a sunny day ?

Other than Ice Ball, this stall is selling ais-krim potong too.
Or perhaps you can rent a bike here.

Four flavours to be chosen for the ice ball.
Quirky names huh ?

So this is the JineeBee.
Rosella and Lychee !
Anyone know the technique to eat this ice ball ?
The syrup was all over my hand as it melts down !

Do use the hashtag if you are on Instagram !

Assorted sweets are on sale here.

Quite a number of vintage items are on sale too.

Purchase the lock for RM5 and write your messages on it.

Patisserie Boutique @ Ipoh

Having a second visit to this cafe with a Parisian theme !
On the first visit I didn't get to try the spaghetti as it was not available yet.
If the food serve is good I won't mind having a second visit.
Since it is a second visit, not many photos were taken.
Hence photos below will do the talking.

Raisins and Pine Nuts Spaghetti.
A bit oily though but still tasted alright and tossed with lots of raisins and crunchy pine nuts.

Smoked Duck Aglio Olio.
Sis give me a few pieces of the smoked duck to try and I want more !

Dessert is love.
Strawberry Tart with premium chocolate base and top garnished with almond flakes.
Taste is superb for chocolate fans like me !
And not to mention the strawberries are of good qualities.

Close up photo of the tart.
Are you drooling now ?
Head over to Patisserie Boutique for more dessert choice.

Tiramisu in a jar.
The top layer tasted alright.
As my sister dig the bottom layer I tried it.
I can't accept the taste as it is too bitter and tasted like alcohol.

Stan & Brew Roast Coffee @ Ipoh

Finally visited Stan & Brew with my sister on an off day !
Only few tables were occupied on that day.
Wide selection of cakes and macarons are available here for those who have a sweet tooth !

Interior on the inside with air-con sitting area.

Open air sitting area.

Chocolate Macaron !
Taste is average but the size of the macaron is quite big.

Chicken Hamabagu if I'm not mistaken. Affordable price and the homemade chicken patty is good.
Portion is big and can be shared 2 person for small eaters.

Plant Cake ordered by me.

The whole cake can be eaten including the flower pot made from chocolate !
